Active ingredients

Senna Leaf Extract contains anthraquinone compounds sennoside and several derivatives, which are its characteristic components; there are also rhein, chrysophanol, and its glucoside, and traces of aloe-emodin or emodin glucoside;

The rest are phytosterols, such as β-sitosterol, stigmasterol; flavonoids are kaempferol-3-rutinoside; triterpenoid saponins are α-aromatic resin alcohol, and so on. The other two types of senna also use sennoside as the main component.

Extraction processing method

Senna leaves can be extracted with water, alcohol, etc. as a solvent according to conventional methods, and then concentrated to dryness to form a paste. Such as dried ear leaves and senna leaves are extracted with alcohol, and the yield is about 18%.
