Active ingredients

Adzuki beans mainly contain amino acids, vitamins, and triterpenoid saponin compounds. The amino acids it contains are rich in essential amino acids, such as arginine, lysine, threonine, aspartic acid, phenylalanine, leucine, etc.; vitamins include vitamin A, carotene, etc., vitamin B, vitamin E, etc.; three saponins include adzuki bean saponin, which is a mixture of several saponins with similar structures.

Extraction processing method

After the red beans are pulverized, water can be used as a solvent and extracted according to conventional methods.

Pharmacology

Adzuki bean water extract has a strong inhibitory effect on lipid peroxidation. The adzuki bean saponins in the adzuki bean water extract have good surfactant-like activity, can generate and stabilize foam, and the foam is dense and fine.

The measured value of electrical conductivity can be used to reflect the water content of the stratum corneum. A 0.01% solution of the water extract of adzuki bean was prepared, and the conductance of the skin coated sample and the blank sample were measured respectively. The conductivity measured after 100 minutes was 170 μS for adzuki bean and 35 μS for the blank test.
