Active ingredients
The fruit of Piper longum mainly contains alkaloids, such as piperine, tetrahydropiperonic acid, piperidine, piper longum nonadiene piperidine, piperamide and so on. The fruit of Piper Chaba is also dominated by piperine alkaloids.
Extraction processing method
Piper longum fruit can be extracted with water, alcohol, etc. as solvents, and then concentrated to dryness into a paste. If dried fruits are soaked in 50% alcohol at room temperature, the extraction yield is 7.6%.
