PEG-10 Dimethicone is a polyethylene glycol derivative of Dimethicone (q.v.) containing an average of 10 moles of ethylene oxide. PEG-10 Dimethicone is a water-in-oil silicon emulsifier with an HLB value of 4.2. It has a strong emulsifying ability, low foaming properties, and low electrolyte reaction, and exhibits high thermal stability. The general dosage is 1-4%. PEG-10 Dimethicone is suitable for dry skin, firm skin, non-pigmented skin, sensitive skin, wrinkled skin, pigmented skin, and tolerant skin.
