Active ingredients
Linden flower contains a large number of flavonoids, including catechin, epicatechin, gallocatechin, epicatechin, proanthocyanidin, etc., which are the main components;
It also contains triterpenoid soaps, such as β-aromatic resin alcohol acetate, balsamic resin alcohol acetate, B-aromatic resin alcohol, and other components such as p-sitosterol and palmitic acid.
Extraction processing method
Linden flowers can be extracted by conventional methods using water, alcohol, etc. as solvents, and then concentrated to dryness. Generally, alcohol extraction is more, and the performance of the extract is better. The yield of extraction with 95% alcohol is about 3%.
Pharmacology
The water decoction of the European linden flower has a good inhibitory effect on Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Phlebsiella niger, and Bacillus subtilis.
Taking rats as the object, the changes of cortical thickness after ultraviolet irradiation were studied and compared with the blank test. The thickness of the cortex coated with 50% alcohol extract of linden flower was reduced by 4.7%.
Apply linden flower water extract on the skin, and then measure the water content of the stratum corneum by conductivity method. The conductivity of the 5 mg/mL extract after application for 5 minutes is 85 μS, while the conductivity of the blank sample is 40 μS.
