Active ingredients

Guava leaves contain characteristic guava, which is flavan-ellagitannin;

Contains flavonoids, such as kaempferol, quercetin, rutin, protocatechin, etc., and phenolic acids include chlorogenic acid, caffeic acid, ferulic acid, and gallic acid;

Another oleanolic acid, ursolic acid, B-sitosterol, and so on.

Extraction processing method

Water, alcohol, 1,3-butanediol, etc. can be used as solvents, extracted according to conventional methods, and then concentrated to dryness to form a paste. The yield of leaves extracted with 50% alcohol is about 20%, and the yield of extraction with water is about 16%.

Guava leaf extract has an inhibitory effect on Propionibacterium acnes, Staphylococcus aureus, and Staphylococcus epidermidis.
