Ferulic acid, whose chemical name is 3-methoxy-4-hydroxycinnamic acid and its chemical formula is C10H10O4, is one of the derivatives of cinnamic acid. It has a high content in Chinese medicinal materials such as Asafoetida, Angelica, Chuanxiong, Cimicifuga, Jujube Seed, and is one of the effective ingredients of these Chinese medicines.
