Active ingredients

Broad bean extract contains a large amount of protein (content 20.97% to 31.32%), second only to soybeans in daily consumption of beans, and also contains vitamin C, etc., and has a relatively complete variety of amino acids, especially rich in lysine;

Broad bean extract contains phenolic substances, the content is 0.2 ~ 1.08g/100g dry matter; the oil content is 1.2% ~ 1.56%, of which the most are linoleic acid, linolenic acid, and oleic acid. Broad bean seed coat contains dopa-0-β-D-glucoside, dopa, and L-tyrosine.

Extraction processing method

Broad beans can be extracted with water, alcohol, etc. as solvents according to conventional methods, and then the extract is concentrated to dryness.

Pharmacology

• Inhibition of lipid peroxidation;
• Cell culture promotes the synthesis of hyaluronic acid;

The extract of fermented Vicia faba lactic acid bacteria was applied to the skin, and then the water content of the stratum corneum was measured by the conductivity method. The conductivity of the 1.0% extract was 160μS after the coating was applied for 100 minutes, while the conductivity of the blank sample was 35μS.
