Active ingredients

The main chemical component of Atractylodes macrocephala is volatile oil. The composition of the oil is complex, mainly terpenoids. The most content is atractylone (about 43.7%). Other components include atractylol and caryophyllene. In addition, the ethanol extract of Atractylodes macrocephala contains Atractylodes lactones, juniper brains, palmitic acid, β-amanin acetate, γ-sitosterol, β-sitosterol, etc.

Extraction processing method
